Service Request Form
Book Service
Thank you. Your service request has been received.
Your request could not be sent. Please call our office at (616) 681-4424.
The form takes words only. If photos of the leak, the fixture or the label on the water heater would help, email them to zak@auburnhillsplumbingservices.com once the form is sent, with your name in the subject line.
Details Worth Having Ready
A few details make the first call shorter and help the right parts come along on the visit:
- Where the problem is: which room, which fixture, upstairs or in the basement.
- When it started, and whether it is getting worse or comes and goes.
- Where the main water shutoff is, and whether it turns. In most houses here it is in the basement where the water line comes through the foundation wall.
- The make and model of the fixture, or the label on the side of the water heater with its size and date.
- How to reach the area: a cleared cabinet, a path to the water heater, an unlocked crawl space hatch.
- The best times to reach you, and a second number if the first is often busy.
While You Wait for the Visit
If water is leaking, close the nearest shutoff valve: under the sink or behind the toilet for a fixture, or the main valve for a pipe in a wall or ceiling. A water heater that is leaking can be shut off at the cold water valve on top of the tank; turn a gas heater’s control to its pilot setting, or switch off the breaker for an electric one. For a drain that is backing up, stop running water anywhere in the house, including the washer and dishwasher, until the line has been cleared.
After You Send the Request
The office gets back to you by your preferred contact method to talk through the problem and set an appointment window for the visit. On site, the plumber finds the cause first. You get a written estimate before the work begins, and photos of what was found under the sink or in the crawl space, so you see the problem before you approve the repair.
Rental owners and storefront managers can send the request for a tenant’s unit; put the tenant’s name and the best way to reach them in the description, and note who approves the work.
