Website Accessibility

Effective November 3, 2026

The aim is for this site to meet the AA level of WCAG 2.2, the widely used rules that make web content accessible to people with disabilities, among them people who are blind, have low vision or can’t use a mouse.

Built-in features

Several things were done to get there. Nothing important is shown only as a picture of text. The pages reflow for phones and zoom. Colors were checked for contrast. Each page has headings in order, so screen readers can move through it. A keyboard alone can operate every control, and the item in focus is clearly marked. Forms label their fields and explain any error in plain terms. A link or a button tells you its purpose in its own words. Photos have alt text.

Testing

Checks run in two stages. First, automated tests for accessibility go over every page; then each page is checked at a desktop width and a phone width. Nothing is published before both are done.

Known issues

Not every image description is complete: some give the main idea rather than every detail. Anything else that doesn’t work for you counts as a mistake, and it’s ours to fix.
