Who and what
The owner and operator of auburnhillsplumbingservices.com is Auburn Hills Plumbing, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Whether you use the site, call us or write to us, the practices described below apply to your information.
Use of information
This is what the information is for. First, replying to you and arranging the work. Second, carrying the work out and following up afterwards. Third, keeping the records a business needs, protecting the site and meeting legal requirements.
Data we receive
Most of what we hold comes straight from you. Fill in the form on our contact page and we get the details you enter, which can include your name, phone number, email, the ZIP code or full address of the job (where the form has room) and what the work involves. Call or write to us and we get the content of that conversation, along with any pictures or files you attach. A little server data is collected too: our hosting provider logs the IP address, browser type, requested page and time of each visit, to protect the site and keep it available.
Cookies
You won’t find advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Our hosting company may still set a cookie that the site strictly needs to stay secure. Page views may also be counted without cookies; the counts are anonymous totals for each page.
Service providers and partners
Others who may see your information:
- the companies that host this site, handle our email and deliver messages from the form on our contact page;
- service partners who help us respond to you or carry out the work;
- public authorities or other parties, when the law requires it or when it’s needed to protect rights or safety.
Storage period
We keep the details you send for as long as the request, the job, normal business record keeping and legal obligations call for, and delete them after that.
Your privacy rights
Three requests are open to you whenever you like:
- to find out what information about you we keep;
- to get mistakes in it corrected;
- to have it deleted.
You can make them by writing to zak@auburnhillsplumbingservices.com or calling (616) 681-4424. We may first confirm your identity, and nobody is treated differently for making a request.
Do not sell or share my personal information
People living in California or certain other states are entitled to opt out of the sale or the sharing of their personal information. What “sale” and “sharing” mean is decided by the law of each state.
Opting out takes one message or one call. Write to zak@auburnhillsplumbingservices.com or call (616) 681-4424, tell us you are opting out, and give your name plus the phone or email address you used when you dealt with us. That’s all we need to find your records. This is free, and you don’t have to sign up for anything.
We acknowledge each opt-out request and act on it in the time frame set by law, asking for nothing beyond what is needed to match the request to your records.
An authorized agent may submit the request on your behalf, as long as they have your signed permission.
Switching on Global Privacy Control, in a browser that offers it, is another way to opt out. Where the law calls for it, we read that signal as your request to opt out for that browser.
Opting out doesn’t affect what you pay or how we work for you.
Security
Security, in short: reasonable care from us, but no guarantee, because no way of storing or sending information is entirely safe.
Children under 13
This site isn’t intended for anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please don’t send us information; we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children that age.
